Paying For Mindfulness Training On A Teacher's Salary? Here's Some Ways To Fund It!

2019 has been an exciting year for the teachers supported by Mindfulness First. We finally launched our comprehensive online teacher training program that includes both Personal and Professional Development in MBSEL, plus lifetime access to classroom resources (written/audio curriculum, example videos, journals etc.). This training is a one-time investment that pays off in every classroom a teacher steps foot in for the rest of their career.

But it isn’t always easy to find funding for extra training on a teacher’s salary and while we continue to raise money for our scholarship fund, we aren’t able to provide a scholarship to everyone at this moment. So here’s a few ideas on how to fund your training with Mindfulness First:

  1. Scholarship Fund: We do have scholarships, so if you are in need, then please fill out our application!

  2. District Funding: If you work for a school district, they have funding for PD. Also, mindfulness training is 'character development' so they may utilize tax-credit money. Let us know if you'd like us to share more info with your District Administration if you are applying for funding with them.

  3. Online Fundraiser: if you set up a GoFundMe or Facebook fundraiser we will share it for you and help spread the word.

  4. Have Folks Donate In Your Name: Invite friends and family to donate directly to Mindfulness First in the name of sponsoring your training! They will receive a tax write-off and you and your students will receive life-changing skills.

Feel free to reach out to us with any questions about funding your training! info(at)mindfulnessfirst.org
