Breon Michel, a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher, has been facilitating mind-body wellness programs for the past 10 years. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 2008 with a Master’s in Positive Psychology, she worked closely with a group of renowned psychologists at U Penn, including Dr.’s Martin Seligman and Karen Reivich, to develop and deliver resilience training to the U.S. Army.
Several years later, after having her first child, she gave up traveling to Army posts all over the world, and built a practice in Cave Creek, AZ. Since becoming a mother, and undergoing her own struggles of postpartum loneliness and anxiety, Breon’s mission has morphed to focus exclusively on mothers and families. Her aim is to support and advocate for mothers to have greater access to community, professional support, and resources that inspire wholeness, embodiment, and thriving.
Breon teaches classes to new and "seasoned" mothers - whatever that means! - at Modern Milk in Scottsdale. She also writes about mindfulness & well-being as they relate to mothering and parenting for eMindful. Breon occasionally offers private coaching sessions for mothers.
